Social Events At Riverside

Riverside runs a lot of great social activities for members and their families and friends to enjoy.

Riverside's social events are coordinated by our Social Committee which consists of  Gill Winter, Jane Cox and George Ryan.  Although Gill, Jane and George organise many of the events themselves,  they are also happy to support any member who would like to organise an event and will help publicise these too.   Please contact any member of the committee to discuss your ideas!

Summer Party July 2023

The rain didn’t stop the fun at the summer party this year. Despite the heavens opening just as the party was due to get started, it soon stopped and we then managed to all get out in the garden!   We then enjoyed some excellent food whilst gazing at the fantastic view of the Cathedral.   The tournament committee then drew the partnerships for the club tournaments before everyone gathered round the fire pit to while away the rest of an excellent evening!

Skittles Night June 2023

It turns out that we have many talented skittles players, with some very competitive streaks.  Our skittles evening at the Silver Plough in Pitton was accompanied by curry and quite a lot of beer.  The evening was great fun and the competition was closely fought with Jim and Amanda winning with the very last ball!

Christmas Sing-Along:  December 2022

Mike Bath and Cool Hand Yuke led us in an evening of festive fun for our German themed evening. We were packed into the clubhouse as tightly as if it were a Munich Beer Cellar to enjoy our mulled wine and Bratwurst, accompanied by (excellent) music and (nearly excellent) singing!

This year, we also had a great trip to Salisbury Play House and ran a quiz which attracted all ages and was great fun!
