GUIDE FOR MEMBERS
THE CLUB
1a. The club is called "Riverside Tennis Club"
1b. The purpose of the Club is to promote tennis in Salisbury.
MANAGEMENT
2a. The Club is managed by a Committee consisting of the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Men's & Ladies Captains, Match, Membership, Tournament and Social Secretaries, Volunteer and Club Co-ordinators, Health and Safety and House & Grounds Officers, and one other member.
2b. THe Committee and The President are appointed at the Annual General Meeting.
2c. The Committee is responsible for all club activities, use and upkeep of the premises and control over affairs of the Club during their term of office.
2d. The Committee can appoint sub-committees such as the Tournament Committee and the Selection Committee.
MEETINGS
3a. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in September each ear. Members wishing to submit requests for rule changes should send the request to the Secretary two weeks prior to the AGM. The quorum is 20 members or 25% of membership whichever is greater.
3b. The Committee must call an Extra-ordinary General Meeting if requested to do so b any 10 or more club members in writing.
FINANCE
4a. Accounts are prepared annuallly to 31 March for presentation at the following Annual General Meeting.
4b. The annual subscriptions are set at the Annual General Meeting and become payable on 1 April.
MEMBERSHIP
5a. The membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March. Summer membership is from 1 April to 30 September.
5b. Junior membership is open to those under 18 on 31 Dece3mber and Student membership to those in full time education.
5c. All student and adult members, except Off Peak members, are entitled to join in adult club play sessions. Juniors may play in these sessions by invitation.
5d. Acceptance of membership implies agreement to abide by the Club rules and Code of Conduct for Members. Persistent breaches may result in loss of membership.
5e. A copy of the full Rules and Constitution is available in the clubhouse of from the Secretary.
COMPLAINTS & SUGGESTIONS
Members are encouraged to raise any suggestions, concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with a member of the Committee.
