 "Well done to Sam & Jamie who won the Boys 10 & Under Doubles at the Wiltshire County Closed Tournament in Devizes, winning 4-2, 5-3 against Harry and Bhupinder (who also belong to the joint Riverside/Victoria Park squad on Friday evenings). Sam and Jamie displayed great teamwork and tactical awareness with Sam building from the baseline and Jamie dominating at the net. Sam also played very well in the singles' event and only lost in the semi-finals. Will Jones had a great victory against the number 8 seed in the 14 & Under Singles before just losing in the quarter finals; he paired up with Michael Barry to reach the semi-finals of the 14 & Under doubles where they lost to the eventual winners. Michael won the 14 & Under Singles' Plate and lost in the final of the 16 & Under Plate. Despite suffering from a chest infection, Abigail reached the quarter finals of the girls' 12 & under singles, Miles finished second in his group in the mini-orange event only losing to the eventual winner & James lost in the second round of the 14 & Under Singles. |
